Federal Title I / Title II
St. John Catholic School participates in the federal Title I / Title II, which provides federal funding for the following programs at our school:
Title I
Extra academic support to targeted students in reading, language arts, and math. Examples of this program include educational technology to support learning, and leveled reading books and materials.
Title II
Professional development to ensure highly qualified staff and administrators. Examples of this program include workshops for teachers, professional development materials for faculty and staff, and reading support specialists. This will include professional development workshops related to the implementation of new Common Core-aligned math and English language arts curriculum.
St. John Catholic School receives these funds from the San Lorenzo Unified School District (SLZUSD) annually. SLZUSD is responsible to administer these funds to our school.
